"Meh. "

  1. Hi . My brother took Humira for several years for his psoriatic arthritis. He switched to Embrel a few years ago and is still doing well. For both biologics, the manufacturer covered all his copays even though he earns a decent salary. So, I hope that bodes well for your financial assistance application. The decrease in immunity is definitely a risk. He is in his 50s and has never been seriously ill, but everyone is different. Only you can decide whether the benefits are worth the risk. Regardless, I hope you get some relief. Thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)

  2. I’ve tried all sorts of things. What worked best, was the antibiotic Doxycycline, but soon found out I was allergic to it. I’ve also done Peroxide, Clindamycin caps, Clindamycin lotion, Pan Oxyl acne wash, all without much success. They want me to start on Humira injections, (a biologic). It’s very expensive, and my copay will be more than I receive every month on disability. So they are trying to help me to get it for free from the manufacturer. But I am also apprehensive about taking it, as it will lower my immune system, and I’ve always gotten sick easily.

  3. Hi . After reading your comment on a recent article, I can understand why you are feeling "meh." Do you have much support when you are having flares? Does anything help with the pain? Please know we are here for you whenever you need us. Gentle hugs. - Lori (Team Member)
