Joey Torre

Hidradenitis Suppurativa Disease Community Advocate Joey TorreJoey Torre is a 32-year-old charismatic humanitarian who loves to create content for his YouTube Channel, “Torre Style”.

Although Joey has many passions in life, such as creating content, cooking, reading, and spending time with his loved ones, it’s undoubtedly known that one of his favorite passions is his love of being a helpful hand to others. Joey feels a deep sense of happiness when he has the privilege to witness people evolve into the best version of themselves.

Joey was diagnosed with Hidradenitis Suppurativa at the age of 18. Now, with more than 14-years of living with HS along with trying almost everything under the sun in hopes to attempt to manage this horrible life-long illness properly, Joey finally feels as if he has somewhat of a good grip on controlling his condition.

Not to be mistaken, Joey hasn’t entered remission; however, he managed his illness to a point where he hasn’t had any new flares in a few years.

Moreover, with years under his belt of trying medications after medications; constant visits to his local Dermatologist, nothing seems to work.

Furthermore, Joey even made visits to a Naturopathic Clinic in hopes of finding the best possible answer that he has searched for to help cope with his HS.

Subsequently, he finally realized that it would be a life-long mission to manage his HS properly.

Joey has made some very necessary lifestyle changes, including exercising 3 to 4 times a week, along with being a 5-year nonsmoker of cigarettes, and also having a strong support system that he can rely on for the better of his mental health. Joey is proud to see such huge improvements to his HS, and now he wants to share his experiences with you all in hopes that you too can hopefully make improvements to your life by properly managing your HS.

Nonetheless, as much as we don’t want to accept the stone-cold truth that this dreadful illness has no cure, we must keep in mind that we can gain some control of it, but that’s only if we’re willing to fight a long hard battle with HS.

Lastly, Joey would like for every HS warrior to remember one thing:

Regardless of how weak this condition may make us feel at times, it doesn’t represent us as being weak people. Because if you live with HS, you have to be strong. But not just any kind of strong - you have to be Heroically Strong.
