BBQ sauce in a bowl with a spoon for putting on chicken

Effortless and No Guilt BBQ Chicken

This recipe is super easy to make and also gluten free, sugar free, and low carb! I make it twice a week, sometimes even more! It goes great with cauliflower rice, sweet potatoes, and any greens! Since we’re going to be using a foil-lined baking dish, cleaning up is also a breeze!

I hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think if you give it a go!

Ingredients for effortless and no guilt BBQ chicken

  • 1.25 lb. package of boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups G Hughes Hickory BBQ Sauce
  • Salt (optional)

Directions for effortless and no guilt BBQ chicken

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  2. As the oven is preheating, cut off any excess fat from the chicken thighs.
  3. In a tin-foiled lined baking dish, place the chicken thighs. You can add a little salt to season the chicken if you want.
  4. Make sure your hands are clean and massage the olive oil all over the chicken.
  5. Take 1 cup of the BBQ sauce and also massage it all over the chicken.
  6. Place chicken in the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Take chicken out of the oven and pour the remaining 1 cup of bbq sauce over the chicken.
  8. Put the chicken back in the oven and cook for another 20-25 minutes, until the outside of the chicken looks crispy brown and has an internal temperature of 165 F.
