Diagnosis was a difficult journey. I was diagnosed when I was about 13 but I had HS since I was 11. By the time I was diagnosed I had stage 3 HS all over my body. When I wasn't diagnosed I was told I had MRSA, a rare blood disorder, and at one point I was told I was going to die. It's so important the medical community becomes educated about HS and diagnosing it. I was traumatized as a child because of these misdiagnoses.
