Hello! We are glad that you and your husband already have a doctor on the case, because that would be our first suggestion. This is a little bit of a mystery, because the documentation that I have found up to this point is stating that Humira is not a cause for anemia, especially not long term. There may be a little bit of an issue at the very beginning with taking the shots, but then the body corrects itself and goes back to normal levels. Humira and other biologics are more known for causing low white blood cell counts making patients vulnerable to infections. The article I'm attaching at the end of my note is from the NIH and explains this effect for Crohn's patients, but they are on Humira so that is why I am including it. It's important to know that you can seek additional opinions from other doctors, including hematologists (who are also oncologists, but they study the blood). They can rule out other issues just to put your mind at ease. I hope this helps! ~Chelsea (Team Member) https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21887727/
