🚩🚩 Red Flags 🚩🚩

What are some red flags in healthcare providers?

  1. Medication pusher ( constantly pushing new medications instead of treating the cause of symptom(s).
Using out dated methods. (We're in the 21st century what may have worked 60 years ago probably won't work today).

    1. I actually just had my dermatologist be wrong about two things. One was minor and one was major. She also pushes back on me when I tell her I have HS spots on my face and back of my head; she says it's impossible to get them in those locations. Even though she is supposed to be one of the best dermatologists in the city, I feel like I have to go on the hunt for another one.

      1. β€œit’s impossible β€œ πŸ˜‘ seriously?!?! Nothing is impossible when it’s about HS because this disease is way to unpredictable.

      2. Absolutely! My regimen includes lasers, spironolactone and a biologic, and I am still dealing with a spot the size of a nickel on my cheek right now. It's bonkers. Thank goodness it's by itself.

    2. Some red flags in a health care provider are as follows:
      Doesn't listen
Acts like they know my body better than I do
Is rigid and unwilling to try or talk about the multitude of options available
      Unwilling to educate themselves
      Dismissive
      Condesending
      Disrespectful
