Dr. Teals New "Stress Relief" Body Wash Put My HS Into Remission.

Hello everyone,

I am writing to share that I’ve discovered a body wash that has helped relieve my HS symptoms and has put my HS into remission for the time being. It’s the Dr. Teal’s "Stress Relief" body wash with Ginger, Ginseng, and Rhodiola Rosea (all super anti-inflammatory plants).

For context, I’ve suffered from HS since I was 11 years old. I’ve had various seasons of awful flare-ups, where I would develop huge boils under my arms. Twice, I’ve been to the hospital to receive antibiotics for severe flare-ups. Before discovering Dr. Teal’s, I was managing my symptoms with turmeric and ginger supplements from Amazon. These supplements kept the severe boils at bay but never removed them completely. I also noticed consistent flare-ups right before my period, with boils forming along my thighs and under my arms.

For the past several years, I’ve had one HS boil under my arm that has been consistently unhealed, always open, and never fully closed. When it did close, it would quickly and painfully reopen. I am overweight and don’t have the best diet, so I thought I would finally get relief only after losing weight, which would take time. This was until I tried Dr. Teal’s new ginger and ginseng body wash, which I only tried because I love Dr. Teal’s and like to test each new formula. And I noticed it had ginger in the formula which drew me to it.

I started using Dr. Teal’s Stress Relief wash, and I thought it had an interesting smell and did help relieve a bit of stress, so I began to consistently use it until the end of the bottle. I liked the scent but considered switching back to my usual lavender-scented Dr. Teal’s. However, since using the wash I started to notice that I hadn’t had any flare-ups in a while, even around my period. Then, the unhealed boil under my arm started to close and consistently stayed closed. I was almost too scared to focus on it too much because I didn’t want to jinx it, and I knew I’d feel let down if my flare-ups returned.

So, I continued to use the wash. I’ve now been using this body wash for two months, which is about three bottles of Dr. Teal’s, and my HS symptoms have completely subsided even around my period and without any diet changes or weight loss! I think it could be because of the anti-inflammatory properties within the formula.

These results may not be the same for everyone, but it should definitely help! I’ve been searching for a cure or relief for HS for a long time and have always been open to trying new things. I’m so happy to share this with you all and hope it provides some relief from this awful condition!

The wash doesn’t burn, and I use a generous amount all over my body when I shower. The body wash is only $5.67 and can be bought at Walmart. I do think your HS will return if you stop using the wash, but you don't have to use it excessively, just whenever you take your shower. Whenever you see this post, please stop what you’re doing and go buy some, the relief should come after a couple of washes! I haven’t tried the foaming bath or Epsom salt, but if you try those out or experience any relief from your symptoms, please let me know!

  1. Hi . Welcome to the community! How awesome that you found a treatment that is effective, inexpensive, easily accessible and unlikely to cause side effects after all these years. What a huge relief that must be! I hope you remain in remission and have no further flares. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
Thank you for sharing what helps, and also for letting people know that what works for you might not work for them. Each HS journey is unique and it's hard to know what will be effective, but I would certainly be tempted to try it at less than $6 a bottle.
Warmest of wishes. - Lori (Team Member)
