Metformin and HS

I went to my dermatologist the other day and she gave me a steroid shot under each armpit where my HS is bad . How long will the steroid injection keep my inflammation at bay also she prescribed metformin to help with inflammation. I am NOT pre diabetic or diabetic at all. Anyone else taking this for HS(500MG)?

    I have taken Metformin 500 mg for my HS for a year and a half. It has helped.

      I did have some diarrhea which the doctor had warned me about. What about you?

        yes diarhea!! Stomach ache.

      My doctor also prescribed Metformin about a month ago. I take two 500mg twice a day. It might be to early to tell but I think it might actually be helping. Good luck!

    My dermatologist would like me to do humera injections which you have to give yourself every 2 weeks I am 62 and don't like the side effects...anyone had good results?
