Drainage and women's undergarments

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and looking for help. My adult daughter suffers with a myriad of autoimmune disorders and her HS is awful. She frequently has painful, up to tennis ball sized wounds that burst open, draining in the worst places. She has tried everything from dietary changes to doctor prescribed bleach baths and Humira with no relief. I am attempting to design a bra and underwear for her that have, removable and absorbent bandaging. We have not found what she needs. If anyone knows of something like I've described please share a link/ website or pattern. We would greatly appreciate any input!

  1. Regarding the drainage and undegarments what works for me is panty liners. I like the Always extra long ones and I position them in my underwear. I usually wear 3-4 panty liners. They are very absorbent!

    1. Hey there. I suffer with the same lesions. I also take Humira, and I really don’t know if it’s helping. I tell you what does though….Emuaid. I found it online and it helps bring the lesions to a head. You can google it and you will find it. They sell it at Walgreens or you can order online. I hope and pray it helps her.

      1. recently found it at all our local meijer stores as well and cheaper!!! Check your local stores you might get lucky!! Sadly I loved emuaid at first, but my body will always usually accept a treatment plan pretty well, but typically by two weeks in it catches on and Whatever new treatment I thought helped will completely stop working and usually flare it up worse after that! It’s so annoying!!! dr just referred me to a dermatologist so I can try that humors… now I see ppl say it hasn’t helped at all… 😭😭😭 everything I’ve read about it says it’s working wonders for HS in ppl? Are ppl really having no improvement??? That humira is like my LAST HOPE!! 😭😭😭 it has to work!! It just HAS TOO!

      2. Hello! Keep in mind that Humira isn't the only biologic medication; if it doesn't work, there are a bunch out there that your doctor/dermatologist can try for you that uses a different "path" than Humira that may be more successful for controlling HS. I actually failed 4 other biologic meds including Humira before we hit on the jackpot for me, which is Xeljanz. So don't think it's the last hope, because it isn't. Best of luck to you in finding the magic potion! ~Chelsea (Team Member)

      1. Hey
I've gone through countless laser treatments and underarms procedures but these weren't successful.. I had to start a lifestyle change routine before I realized positive changes in regulating my flare-up. I advised you start a journal to keep track of what causes her flare-up (food, drinks, cosmetic, weather, clothes, mood etc) . Regulating her food and drinks to less than 10g sugar might be the best way to minimize her flare-up. Also encourage her to wear cotton clothes and undergarments especially white sports bras which are a size bigger. Natural oil should be used instead of lotions .

Hope and pray she gets better. ❤
