I would love my skin to be normal ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Hey everyone! I am 36 years old. Ive had HS since about 9 or 10 years old. Started put a painful bumps. Of course I had to pop them. And of course I wasnt skinny so my thighs rubbed I believe that made it worse. After puberty it calmed down a whole lot. I know mines is genetics because my mother has it as well. I may get a bump here or there. But what annoys me so much is the tombstone blackheads as they say. Double ended black heads. The tiny bumps with the black heads. The tunnels. My inner thighs are covered in tiny blackheads. I could literally sit there and pick them for half an hour. So sorry tmi. And the scar tissue and the way it makes my skin feel. Lets not talk about the self esteem and sex. Sigh. I do have 3 kids. I recently purchased skin adhesive stickers theyre large and when I want to feel better down like for sexy time I put them on.

  1. Thank you! I haven't actually tried much of anything. I believe back in 1999 my dermatologist gave me a very stinky medicine and told me to put it on. Imagine me a 9 year old just got her period and now I also have to deal with putting stinky medicine on. Crazy. So I did it a few times after that nope. I really need some relief for my butt though unfortunately I forgot to mention that. Like its not enough to feel unattractive in the front area but the butt too. Come one man. I will definitely look at your remedies. Im trying to steadily loose some weight as well.

  2. Hi . Welcome to the community! What a long time to suffer with HS. It's hard enough for adults. I can't imagine dealing with it as a child. I love your sticker idea! How clever, especially since it's only for a short time.
What treatments have you tried for your HS? Have you ever tried biologics?
You're not alone in your struggle with blackheads. I'm sure you've tried everything, but here is an article about managing them that might interest you: https://hsdisease.com/living/blackhead-blight. Maybe you'll find something new in the article.
