HS Sufferer

This is in response to the writer named Jennifer.

I also suffer from the highest stage of HS. Every Doctor that sees me says it’s the most chronic illness they have seen on anyone. So, pain, discomfort, scars, smells and all the side effects from HS are huge topics of conversation between my Dermatologist and me.

Only surgery brings relief from flares

I’ve had it since 1997 and the only near permanent relief from it is surgery to eradicate the effects in the diseased area, which also means more scars.

I’ve had over 23 procedures done and I can expect many more.

Don’t postpone HS treatment

I recommend a Dermatologist experienced in HS. That’s as much specific I can share with you. I hope you find better relief than I have gotten. The earlier you do the better. Don’t wait long, like I did. As you might know, this disease is progressive, for sure.
