HS, Mental Health and Cancer
I have had HS most my life I am 36 now and in a forensic hospital at the moment I believe I am misunderstood, I have had about 6 operations under the knife, over 10 incisions including a debridement down below. I have found it lonely and difficult but I'm reaching out. Should i get checked out for cancer and how do I stop the infection. Help! Id love to connect with others.

I can hear what a difficult and challenging time it has been for you, between managing HS for most of your life and the subsequent operations and incisions. HS can feel like a very lonely and difficult condition, and you aren't alone in feelings this way or having this experience. We are not doctors and can not advise you on being checked out for cancer. Are you working with a dermatologist for you HS? Have you spoken with your doctors about this?
