Any tips please?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some real-world advice on how to manage my HS/boils. I am completely fed up. I'm stuck in a cycle where as soon as one goes, another one pops right up.

What are your best tips for stopping that "whack-a-mole" cycle where new lumps keep appearing right next to old ones?

Are there any specific washes or hacks that actually helped reduce the pain for you?

I'd love to hear what has genuinely worked for you to get some relief.

Thank you so much in advance 😀

  1. Hi . "Whack-a-mole" is a good way to describe it. You must be super frustrated. Have you tried an elimination diet? That seems to be the most widely helpful non-medical treatment. Dairy and highly processed sugar are among the most common triggers.
Here is a recent forum post from , who has so far, completely eliminated flares by avoiding sugar and high fructose corn syrup: https://hsdisease.com/forums/i-cured-my-lifelong-hs. Here is another post from , who found that a vegan diet eliminated flares: https://hsdisease.com/forums/going-vegan-cured-me. Here is another post from someone who had good luck with biologics: https://hsdisease.com/forums/read-this-this-almost-cured-me. I hope these posts help.
If you are looking for something topical, many people swear by Epsom salt baths and others have had success with My Magic Healther balm. Here is a link to the company's website: https://tinyurl.com/4me22pr4. I hope others chime in here with their own experiences. The HS journey can be so unique to each person that it's hard to say what might help. Keep us posted if you don't mind. I'll be thinking of you. - Lori (Team Member)
