I’m submitting this for my 23-year- old son who is also autistic. His symptoms began when he was in junior high school. It seemed like a large boil on his tailbone. Needless to say it has developed in his armpits and groin area.

Always in pain

My heart breaks for him everyday. We’ve been to several doctors but nothing changes. I’m currently looking for a surgeon who can close the open areas in his armpits. It’s hard to see a young man not able to walk normally due to the pain he is in.

Biologic caused serious kidney damage

A dermatologist put him on Humira and his kidneys stopped working properly. He has had several hospital stays because of it. I thought we were going to lose him.

Please help

If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful to hear them. I pray for all those who have HS. This is a horrible disease.
